Acervo Chico Science
With exclusive, restored, cataloged, and digitized materials, the Acervo Chico Science was launched on March 13th — the birthday of Chico Science, a central voice of the manguebeat movement and Brazilian contemporary music.
Conceived as a fully digital cultural archive, the project began with in-depth audience research, considering both long-time fans and new audiences. This phase focused on identifying opportunities, defining editorial objectives, cultural territories, channels, and narrative priorities — ensuring accessibility without compromising historical depth.
An editorial content strategy was then structured across three phases — announcement, launch, and sustainability — and developed in close collaboration with design, programming, executive production, community management, and press teams. The goal was not only to introduce the archive, but to establish an ongoing relationship between the work, its context, and contemporary listeners.
